We're going to pick up with a number of great interviews, starting off with Sunny Han, founder and CEO of Fulcrum.
00:00:18.553 --> 00:00:22.342
Sunny is based in Minneapolis and it was one of our fund one investments.
00:00:22.842 --> 00:00:29.082
I asked him, actually, I begged him to share his story because he has been through it all.
00:00:29.472 --> 00:00:35.262
All of the ups and downs, riding the startup fundraising rollercoaster for the last four years.
00:00:35.762 --> 00:00:40.783
I appreciate that he shares his story openly, honestly, and with humility.
00:00:41.412 --> 00:00:42.372
I know you'll enjoy it.

00:01:16.408 --> 00:01:17.427
Your success.
00:01:17.727 --> 00:01:18.927
Their expertise.
00:01:19.927 --> 00:01:20.548
My name is Sunny.
00:01:20.957 --> 00:01:22.468
I'm the CEO and founder of Fulcrum.
00:01:23.007 --> 00:01:29.186
I've been operating this company as a venture backed company for, about three and a half years now.
00:01:29.668 --> 00:01:37.810
We've raised three rounds of funding, a seed round, which was facilitated in large part by SpringTime Ventures, and an A and an A extension.
00:01:38.299 --> 00:01:49.102
And, the timeline is our first round was Near the end of 2020, and, our Series A was really, really quickly behind that, almost just seven months or eight months after our seed round.
00:01:49.751 --> 00:01:55.141
And then the extension round was, almost two years after that, so about a year and a half to two years after that.
00:01:55.667 --> 00:01:59.549
I've known Rich and, SpringTime Ventures for quite some time now.
00:01:59.748 --> 00:02:03.626
They're one of the only, investors that I've had a long standing relationship with.
00:02:03.626 --> 00:02:08.306
I've been to their events and have loved working with them and the other founders that they invest in.
00:02:08.665 --> 00:02:10.609
Fulcrum is a system of record product.
00:02:10.899 --> 00:02:14.299
It's an ERP product, if you want to call it that, if you want to use an old and dusty term.
00:02:14.748 --> 00:02:16.088
But it's for manufacturers.
00:02:16.598 --> 00:02:19.829
From a VC perspective, we're a vertical B2B SaaS company.
00:02:20.111 --> 00:02:27.105
you can think of us as Toast or Procore or Service Titan, but instead of, restaurants or construction or service companies for manufacturers.
00:02:27.399 --> 00:02:33.366
We focus specifically on fabricators, people that are making the actual components of stuff.
00:02:33.906 --> 00:02:37.425
They're people that are designing planes and trains and automobiles.
00:02:37.966 --> 00:02:43.645
Our goal, the vision, is that we believe that we're at a crossroads where we need more stuff.
00:02:43.665 --> 00:02:45.096
We need that stuff to be more valuable.
00:02:45.466 --> 00:02:53.778
We're working on using technology, software, to increase the value of the stuff that we produce and reduce the resources that are needed.
00:02:54.149 --> 00:03:05.876
And we believe that doing this across all manufacturing will create an emergent network of manufacturing that will be really awesome, that will get us producing way more things way faster, way better, for way less cost.
